- Hot work: welding, cutting and grinding require a watch during the work and after the last spark, per the permit
- Systems not in service: standpipes and sprinklers down during phases of construction or TI work
- Temporary heat and combustible loading: framing-stage sites with heaters and stacked lumber
- Red-flag conditions: wind events where the AHJ or the builder’s risk policy requires watch coverage
Built for GCs and supers
Our construction fire watch runs on the same operating system as our construction site security: written post orders your super signs off, hourly timestamped photo logs emailed daily, and officers who handle gate control, deliveries and after-hours theft deterrence on the same shift where you want one combined post. We’ve protected California job sites for GCs including multi-year relationships with major commercial builders.
Statewide, from six offices
Same-day deployment across Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Diego, Sacramento, Santa Clara and every county we serve.
Frequently asked questions
Does hot work always need a fire watch?
Permitted hot work generally requires a watch during the operation and for a period after completion — your permit and AHJ set the specifics. We staff to the permit.
Can the fire watch officer also guard the site?
Where the AHJ allows, one officer can run a combined post order covering watch rounds and site security — the most cost-effective setup for most job sites. We confirm with the inspector first.
Do you cover nights and weekends only?
Yes — shift-based coverage with no long-term contract. Many GCs run watch-plus-security overnight and weekends, badge-checker coverage weekdays.
What documentation do we get?
Timestamped, photo-verified logs per round, exported daily — the file your insurer and the fire marshal both ask for after an incident.
