Safelist Your Vehicle — Guest Parking Registration

Resident guest parking

Register a guest vehicle before tonight’s patrol

If Safeguard On Demand patrols your community, this page is the fastest way to safelist a vehicle: a guest, visitor, contractor, rental or temporary car that needs to park overnight. Once it is safelisted, our officers see the plate as authorized during enforcement hours and it is not warned, cited or towed under your community’s guest-parking rules.

How Safelisting Works

1. Submit the vehicle

Enter your community, unit, the vehicle's plate, make, model and color, and the nights it will be parked. Two minutes, no account needed.

2. We check your community's rules

Our dispatch team reviews the request against the guest-parking limits your HOA board or property manager has adopted and confirms by email.

3. Officers see it on patrol

The approved plate and dates go to the officers patrolling your property. When they run the plate during enforcement hours, it shows as authorized.

4. The safelist expires automatically

Coverage ends after the last night you entered. For a longer stay, submit a new request or ask your management company for an extended-stay exception.

Safelist Rules to Know

Guest-night limits

Most communities cap how many nights a guest vehicle may be safelisted, commonly a set number of nights per month or per 180-day period. Requests beyond the limit need a board or manager exception.

Submit before patrol starts

Submit as early in the day as possible. Requests are processed in the evening before enforcement begins; a vehicle registered after the officer has already cited it may not be covered for that night.

One vehicle per request

Each safelist request covers one license plate. Register a second guest vehicle with a separate request so each plate is matched correctly on patrol.

Residents only

Requests must come from a resident of the community (owner or tenant) for a vehicle visiting their unit. Non-residents cannot safelist themselves.

Guest spaces only

A safelist authorizes parking in guest or open spaces during enforcement hours. It does not authorize parking in fire lanes, red curbs, accessible spaces, assigned or reserved spaces, or in front of garages.

Resident vehicles need a permit

Safelisting is for temporary vehicles. Vehicles that live at the property should be registered through your community’s permit program; repeated safelisting of the same vehicle is usually flagged for the manager.

Yes. Safelisting is a free service for residents of communities patrolled by Safeguard On Demand. There is no account to create and no fee to register a guest vehicle.

That depends on your community. Most HOAs and apartment communities set a limit such as a certain number of nights per month or per 180-day period, and some limit consecutive nights. Our dispatch team applies the limit your board or manager has adopted. If you need more time, ask your management company for an extended-stay exception.

Submit as early in the day as possible. Requests are processed in the evening before patrol begins. A request submitted after the officer has already checked your community may not be covered for that night, so when in doubt, call dispatch at (800) 640-2327 to confirm.

No. A safelist authorizes parking in guest or open spaces during enforcement hours. Fire lanes, red curbs, accessible spaces without a placard, reserved or assigned spaces, and areas blocking garages, driveways or entrances are enforced at all times and cannot be safelisted.

Reply to your confirmation email with the notice number and plate, or call (800) 640-2327. Our dispatch team will check the request time, the plate as entered and the officer’s photo record. Common causes are a mistyped plate, a request submitted after patrol, or a vehicle parked outside guest spaces.
