Workplace violence prevention (SB 553). Labor Code Section 6401.9 requires most California employers to keep a written Workplace Violence Prevention Plan, train employees annually and maintain a violent incident log. Healthcare employers follow the separate standard at Title 8 Section 3342.
Injury and Illness Prevention Program. Title 8 Section 3203 requires every employer to maintain an IIPP, and hazards such as robbery, assault and trespass belong in it.
